The sight of the kaba of haram
The mosque al-haraam  is a round and expansive premises. The edges have vast and lengthy arcades with exit-entry doors. At the centre of this mosque the mataf (where circumambulation is performed) is present in the shape of a round circle. The floor of the mataf is spread with granite. The Ka’batullah sharif is situated at the centre. At the time of the Prophet sallalla ahu alaihi wasallam mosque al-haraam was of this size only. Kaba muazzama has four corners called Rukn.
(1) Rukn aswad : This is situated at the south-west corner. hajr aswad (black stone) has been fixed here, at an elevated level from the floor.
(2) Rukn iraqi: This is situated at the north-west corner. The door of Ka’bah is situated between these two corners, at the western side wall, at a well elevated height from the floor. The rest of the space of the western wall which lies from the rukn aswad (corner where the black stone is there) till the door of the Ka’bah muazzamah is called ‘multazam’.
(3) Rukn ash-Shami : This rukn (corner) is situated at the north-east corner. The golden water Spout an aqueduct called Meezab al-rahmah  (spout of mercy) is there in the northern wall at the roof of and in between the shami and iraqi corners. Hateem too is situated at the side of northern             wall. The floor space of hateem was a part of the Ka’bah muazzamah. during the period of ignorance, the Ka’bah was rebuilt anew by the clans of quresh due to paucity of funds this space was left outside the Holy Kaba structure. instead a bow-shaped wall had been constructed with doors both the sides to enter and exit. This has proved to be fortunate enough for muslims because without any difficulty Alhamdulillah anyone could enter as if he enters inside Kaba.
(4) Rukn yamani: This is situated between the south and east corner.
Mustajab (a place where supplications would be granted) is the eastern side space of the wall between the iraqi and yamani corners, which is just opposite to multazam.  There are seventy thousand angels present to say Ameen on our supplications at the South wall between Rukn yamani and Rukn aswad.

Before the door of the Ka’bah, Inside the dome there is a stone, which the Prophet syedna ibrahim  alaihis salaam used to stand on while building the Ka’bah.  The stone absorbed the impression of his holy feet, which is still intact. This place is called Maqam ibrahim.   Allah has described it to be a ‘Baiyeanat’ i.e. one of His evident signs.
The well of  zam zam sharif is present in the holy mosque at the south side of Maqam ibrahim.   Bab al-safa is a one of the doors of the holy mosque, the entry through this door  leads to the mount al-safa.  al-safa was a mount at the south side of the holy Ka’bah, which now hidden under the earth.  now a corridor has been built at the direction of Ka’bah and steps have been provided to climb over this mount.  The other mount Marwa is at the western side of Safa.  Here too at the direction of Ka’bah, the steps and a corridor has been provided.  In between the twin mounts of safa and marwa at the walls of haram sharif two green fluorescent lights indicators have been marked, which are called ‘Melayn Akhdharain’.  Mas’aa is the distance between these two melayn. This distance has to be crossed by running.
