Ibrahim alaihis salaam, along with his son Ismail alaihis salaam constructed the Ka’bah again, on the ancient foundations, as per the guidance and commands of Allah Subhanahuta’la.  Allah the Glorious narrates this in Al-Qur’an like this :

إِنَّ أَوَّلَ بَيْتٍ وُضِعَ لِلنَّاسِ لَلَّذِي بِبَكَّةَ مُبَارَكًا وَهُدًى لِلْعَالَمِينَ  3:96) 

Translation :  Verily, the first House (of worship) appointed for mankind was that at Bakkah (Makkah), full of blessing, and a guidance for Al-'Alamîn (the mankind and jinns).

When the construction was completed, Allah the Glorious commanded Ibrahim alaihis salaam to give a universal call inviting them to visit this house of Allah, which has been narrated in Al-Qur’an like this:

وَأَذِّنْ فِي النَّاسِ بِالْحَجِّ يَأْتُوكَ رِجَالًا وَعَلَى كُلِّ ضَامِرٍ يَأْتِينَ مِنْ كُلِّ فَجٍّ عَمِيقٍ 22:27

Translation:  And proclaim to mankind the Hajj (pilgrimage). They will come to you on foot and on every lean camel, they will come from every deep and distant (wide) mountain highway (to perform Hajj). (22:27).
